Paraeducator Generalist Certificate Program (Online)

This online program is open to current school district employees interested in taking classes to earn their Paraeducator Generalist Certificate. A 10-hour supervised field experience is required in order to complete the certificate. After completion of the program, students may apply for Paraeducator Generalist Certification through the State of Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. Applying for the certificate through the state costs $115. Classes include: Exploring Teaching and Behavior Management. To successfully complete this certificate, you must pass all required components to be able to apply for the certificate with the state. Tuition assistance may fund up to 100 percent of your registration cost for this program.
