« back to classes page
This course has been developed from NACSW (K9 Nose Work), UKC (Nosework), and AKC (Scent work) programs. Based on detection dog training, the intro class will teach your dog how to recognize Birch scent and how to progress to finding the scent in various containers. This is a fun sport that builds and strengthens the human-canine bond. It is a great opportunity for all handlers and dogs, regardless of breed or size. This class works individually with handlers and dogs within a group setting. Dogs that are not actively working with the instructor should be crated (not provided) or remain calm with their handler.
