This presentation will provide the dental professional with the latest information on dental imaging, including common safety techniques for both you and your patient. A comparison of types of imaging useful in your practice will be presented, and case studies will be utilized to assist with understanding dental imaging. This program is designed for dental assistants with an added qualification in dental radiography.
 
Objectives: 1) Identify key individuals in the development of dental imaging; 2) Identify radiation safety techniques in exposing dental imaging; 3) Compare analog and digital imaging; 4) Identify dental anomalies by case studies.
