Please read:
- Participants must wear gloves, a long-sleeved shirt or jacket, long pants, and over-the-ankle footwear during the riding sessions.
- A link to the required five-hour eCourse will be sent in your registration confirmation email. The eCourse must be completed before the first-Class session. Proof of completion (printed certificate or digital copy) is required at the start of class. For technical support, call 949-727-3227 option 1.
- The $25 eCourse fee is nonrefundable once registration is complete.
- Students may bring their own helmet if it is DOT-approved (typically indicated by a DOT sticker).
- Kirkwood has a variety of motorcycles, including different sizes. Instructors will work with students to find the best match.
- Students who wish to use their own motorcycle must provide proof of current registration and insurance. However, students may not legally ride their motorcycle to class without a valid motorcycle endorsement.
- Successful completion of this course waives the motorcycle driving skills test with the DOT; however, a written knowledge test is still required. Your Motorcycle Basic Rider Course completion certificate is valid for two (2) years from the date of issue and must be used within that time to add the motorcycle endorsement to your driver's license.
