Enroll and manage your class schedule

Age Requirement
Kirkwood Continuing Education welcomes learners of all ages by providing classes for adults and youth alike. However, learners under the age of 18 are not permitted to enroll in non-youth courses unless otherwise specified in the class description.

Waiting Lists
All classes have a maximum class size. If you are interested in a class that is full, you have the option to add yourself to the waiting list by selecting the dark blue Add to Waiting List button on the class. If an opening becomes available, Kirkwood will call the students on the wait list in the order they were added to finalize the registration.

Employer Sponsorship
Yes, your employer or another sponsoring organization can pay for your continuing education classes. We use a third-party eSignature tool, PandaDoc, to handle class registration and billing. Learn more about sponsorship billing to get started.

Gift Cards
Gift cards are available for purchase online and can be applied to Continuing Education class offerings. The recipient will receive a unique code to apply during checkout.

Transfer Requests
Transfers are available to all learners who notify us by 5 pm at least two business days prior to the class start date.

Access transcripts and enrollment history

Transaction Receipts
To print a receipt, sign in to your account and select "My Transactions." Locate the class for which you need a receipt, then choose "Print View," under the Actions column. From there, you can print the receipt or save it for your records.

Note: Kirkwood Continuing Education does not issue a 1098-T. For tax purposes, the Tax ID # can be found on the bottom of the transaction receipt.

Unofficial Transcript
To print a current unofficial transcript of classes after 2010, sign in and select "My Transcript" from the menu bar on the left side of your screen. In the upper left corner, select "Print View" to print your transcript. If you need an official transcript, please fill out the request form.

Duplicate Certificate Request
To request a copy of your certificate, please complete the Transcript/Certificate Request Form. A fee will apply.

Release of Student Information Request
Kirkwood cannot release the following without a signed release from the student, Release of Information Request (FERPA) form

Talon Support
For students taking an online class through Talon, login information will be sent from contactce@kirkwood.edu. Please refer to your registration confirmation email for details on when you can expect to receive your Talon login information. Students will log in to Continuing Education's Talon platform at talonce.kirkwood.edu.

Please note that Continuing Education classes use a separate Talon platform from college credit courses.

If you do not see your login email within the expected timeframe, be sure to check your spam or junk folders, as the email may be filtered there. For additional assistance, contact our registration office at 319-398-1022, option 5.

UGotClass Support
Class login information will be emailed directly from UGotClass, beginning approximately 48 hours prior to the class start date. Please watch for an email with the subject line “Lern - Classroom Invitation” and be sure to check your spam or junk folders if you do not see it in your inbox. For technical or login questions about these courses, students should contact UGotClass at info@ugotclass.org or 855-846-8252.

Ed2Go Support
Kirkwood Continuing Education partners with Ed2Go, a third-party online learning platform, to offer students a diverse selection of online courses and career training programs. Registration for Ed2Go courses is completed through the Ed2Go platform. To explore available courses and register, visit the ed2go site here. Update your account and personal info

New Student? Create Your Profile
If this is your first time registering for a Kirkwood Continuing Education class, you’ll need to create a student profile before you can register. Select “Create New Student Profile”

Your MyHub login and password will not work unless you use this to create a new profile with us.

Username & Password Help
For assistance with your Continuing Education login information, complete the request form here.

Requests will be handled during business hours Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Please note: Your Continuing Education registration site login is separate from your MyHub login.

Updating My Student Profile
You can update your student profile at any time. After signing in, select “My Profile," then "Edit Profile" to review and update your information. Once you’ve made your changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Submit” to save your updates.

Stay Connected with Text Updates
Kirkwood Continuing Education offers optional text messaging to help you stay informed about your classes and registration. You can choose which types of text notifications you would like to receive, including:

Profile Notifications – Updates related to your student profile

Registration & Transaction Notifications – Updates when a registration, cancellation, or other transaction is processed

Marketing Messages – Information about upcoming classes, programs, and Continuing Education opportunities

Emergency Notifications – Time-sensitive class updates, including last-minute changes or cancellations and weather-related closures

Class Related Updates – Non-emergency information or changes related to your class

Public Safety
Report emergencies and/or any suspicious or questionable activity to 911, or to Kirkwood Public Safety, 319-398-7777. To view more about the services Public Safety offers click here.

Unlocking and jump-starting vehicles on campus

Accommodations
To request accommodations, an online accommodation application will need to be filled out at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the class and/or exam. This form needs to be completed for each Continuing Education class or exam the student takes by selecting Apply Here for Continuing Education or Adult Secondary Education Accommodations.

Note: Language Interpreters are not covered under this accommodations policy and will need to be arranged for by the student.

Note: Accommodations for the Nurse Aide Training Written Exam are now handled through TMU Headmaster.

Review student conduct and program rules

Continuing Education Waiver
Kirkwood Community College assumes no liability for accidents that occur while participating in Continuing Education classes and provides no funds to cover medical costs. Participants are reminded that participation is entirely voluntary and are strongly urged to have their own health insurance. It is understood that participation is voluntary, and Kirkwood Community College is not responsible for injuries or accidents, and all liability against them is waived.

Stay Informed of Class Changes

Kirkwood Continuing Education makes every effort to maintain the schedule of classes as announced in our catalog. However, class dates, times, locations, or other details may be changed, or a class may be cancelled, when necessary. If a class is changed or canceled, registered students will be notified, and updated class information will be reflected on our website.

Inclement weather
Kirkwood Community College and off-campus locations may close due to severe weather or other emergency situations. Decisions regarding Continuing Education class cancellations will be made by 6:30 a.m. for daytime classes and 3:00 p.m. for evening classes. To check whether your Continuing Education class has been cancelled or impacted, visit www.kirkwood.edu/ceweather for the latest updates.

Understand refund timelines and eligibility

Refund/Transfer Policy
Unless a separate policy is stated for a specific class, the following policy applies to all Continuing Education classes.

Refunds and transfers are available to customers who contact staff by 5pm (Central Standard Time) at least two business days prior to the class start date. Business days are defined at Monday through Friday. Please be aware that the two-business-day period excludes weekends (Saturday and Sunday). For example, if a class is scheduled to start on a Monday, a request must be made by 5pm on the preceding Thursday.

Individuals who register within the two-business-day window will forgo their right to a refund/transfer.

In the event that Kirkwood must cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances, students will be promptly notified and given the option of a refund or transfer.

Individuals requesting to cancel/transfer within the two-business-day window may complete an Appeal Request Form. All requests will be reviewed and determinations made within five business days of receipt.

Explore funding options

Tuition Assistance Funding Referral
Through Skills to Employment, Kirkwood has access to several funding programs that may be able to assist you with the cost of tuition; however not all classes are eligible for funding. Tuition assistance is only eligible for FastTrack Career Certificates. If you are in need of funding, please complete the Funding Referral Form at www.kirkwood.edu/cefunding. After submitting the form, a Skills to Employment staff member will reach out to you, within a week, to discuss potential options.
