This Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) course is designed to prepare learners for the AEMT National Registry practical examination required for state of Iowa certification. To enroll, students must have a high school diploma or GED, a current Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certification, and an active Iowa EMT certification. All lectures, assignments, quizzes, and exams will be conducted online, featuring six live Zoom sessions. There will be four mandatory 8-hour lab days held at the Kirkwood Main Campus. Additionally, participants are required to complete 96 hours of clinical experience at hospitals, ambulance services, and/or fire departments.
