In 1543, the Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus published the book, On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres. This book is best known for placing the sun at the center of the universe and putting the earth into motion around it. Come learn about why Copernicus did this and how his seemingly revolutionary idea was received by other astronomers.
