Join us in a presentation and discussion of the nexus of mind and nature in indigenous architecture in pre-Hispanic Mesoamerica. Includes insights from the fields of archaeoastronomy, cultural anthropology and archaeology, with specific examples from such famous Mayan sites as Chichn Itz and Uxmal (which features Venus alignments). Some background on Mayan calendar systems and basic naked eye astronomy will also be included.
