ID : 104923
« back to classes page
Tombstone rubbings are commonly used by genealogists as a method for preserving a stone's inscription. They are also done for the sake of art.  This class will teach you how to properly do a rubbing without harming the gravestone and it will identify situations when you should use an alternative method of cemetery documentation because of possible damage to the stone. Because tombstone rubbing is not permitted everywhere, you will learn how to use the Internet to find cemetery contact information to determine if tombstone rubbing is permitted in any particular cemetery. Materials fee $15.
