Fires are won and lost by the ability of the first-due engine to place the line at the seat of the fire. Enabling the crew to stretch the line and make the push starts with an aggressive mindset and is supported by the setup of our apparatus. As our environment continues to reach flashover quicker, implementation of an efficient engine crew is imperative to get water on the fire. This course will review the basic engine company operations, from apparatus specs to the deployment of the hand lines and everything in between. This course will enforce the art of firemanship by understanding the apparatus, fire flows, and strategies and tactics for a successful fireground operations.
