This class addresses ethical situations and changing issues, giving coaches better insight in decision-making abilities for their programs. State approved, lesson based, online program for ethics and issues in coaching. This guided, online format will take roughly 1.5 hours to complete and meets all requirements for this portion of the state required core subject matter. Work at your own pace.

Please read:  This class will help those working for their coaching re-certification from the State of Iowa but will not qualify for college credit or a coaching endorsement. As of April 23, 2017, the BOEE requires all applications to provide documentation of current completion of a hands-on (not online) CPR training. Kirkwood CE offers Heartsaver CPR/AED (CHCP-1800), BLS Provider (CHCP-1000) or Adult First Aid (CHCP-1200) to meet this requirement. Any official CPR training through the following reputable organizations will also be accepted: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), National Safety Council (NSC), or Medic First Aid. Requires computer and internet access. Your log in information will be sent to you via email approximately 1 hour after registration. Email subject line: Ethics and Issues in Coaching (online) class log in information. This class starts upon registration and must be completed within 2 weeks.
