Preserving a historic building requires research and careful planning to get the best results. You will learn how to identify and prioritize historic preservation techniques you can use on a range of properties. This course will arm you with a broad understanding of historic preservation on the local, state, and national levels in terms of history, incentives, standards, and application. You will develop a historic preservation “tool kit” of resources where you may look for guidance and solutions as you undertake preservation projects.
