ID : 99000
« back to classes page
This class is an in-depth look at the history of active shooters/MCls throughout the United States and the ever-changing emergency response provided by fire, police, and EMS. Our goal in the fire service is to save lives and we must be preparing ourselves to respond in a coordinated, efficient manner to increase the survivability of victims. Students will learn how the fire service should respond in coordination with law enforcement to limit the risk to our firefighters, while maximizing our ability to save lives. We will discuss the implementation of policy, equipment, training, tactical casualty care, and the overall thought process of firefighters who might respond to such an incident. Whether you are a Chief, Company Officer, or Firefighter this course will provide you with insight into the current best practices for active shooter response.
