Help pet owners proudly show off their furry friends by keeping their pets groomed and healthy! The Professional Pet Grooming Certificate program will teach you skills and techniques to professionally groom and maintain the appearance of pets, especially dogs and cats. Learn applicable skills through hands-on training in Kirkwood's own grooming lab, where you will work directly with pets brought in from clients in the community. This program covers: safe pet handling; bathing, drying, brushing, and combing; grooming safety, sanitation, rules and regulations; foundational grooming skills; and basic pet styling for a majority of dog breeds found in the Midwest. Tuition includes student toolkit and all required textbooks. Tuition assistance may fund up to 100 percent of your registration cost for this program. Fill out our funding referral form at www.kirkwood.edu/cefunding.
