Certificate Series:Paraeducator Generalist Certificate Program (Online)
This online, accelerated program is open to anyone interested in taking classes to earn their Paraeducator Generalist Certificate. A 10-hour supervised field experience is required in order to complete the program. After completion of the program, students may apply for Paraeducator Generalist Certification through the State of Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. Classes include: Exploring Teaching and Behavior Management. This certificate is articulated with Kirkwood Community College credit courses. To successfully complete this certificate, you must pass all required components as this qualifies as a pathway into a Kirkwood credit program. Tuition assistance may fund up to 100 percent of your registration cost for this program. Fill out our funding referral form at www.kirkwood.edu/cefunding.
