Caring for Patients from Different Cultures - HOMESTUDY

Cultural competency is very important in healthcare. Understanding different cultures and world views facilitates increased communication and understanding between patients, providers and family members. Includes many examples of the different cultures in America today and how they approach illness and health. This Nursing homestudy course, Caring for Patients from Different Cultures, has been approved for 4.0  Nursing Contact Hours by Iowa Board of Nursing Provider #30. It is a textbook-based course that may be started at any time during the year.
