Operations Level for Emergency and Disaster Response to Chemical Releases

First responders at the Operations Level respond defensively to releases or potential releases of hazardous substances to protect nearby persons, property and the environment. Learn to recognize a release, container types and steps to contain the release from a safe distance to keep it from spreading and preventing exposure. Placard-recognition activities and a defensive emergency response exercise with decontamination operations are a part of the emergency responders training. This course will also accommodate the annual training requirement of Operations Level Responder.
