Plans, Specs and Building Codes

Are you a homeowner wanting to learn how to start a big home improvement project, or a contractor looking to hone your skills; this course will give an introduction to understanding architectural drawings, building codes and inspections, as well as getting the chance to work on those drawings for your project. Students will learn the basics of reading and creating plans, tips to developing material lists, as well as understanding building codes. Students will be introduced to Sketchup drafting software for use in creating plans.
