This course provides the student with an introduction to basic milling operations. Upon completion of this course the student will have an understanding of manual and CNC milling practices as well as gained knowledge in tooling, machining practices and applied mathematics, Teamwork critical thinking and problem solving are emphasized. Hands-on experience and practical applications are included. This course provides an opportunity to take the corresponding NIMS exam, and upon successfully passing this exam, the participant will earn the nationally recognized NIMS credential.
