Dog Obedience I - All Ages

Based on the American Kennel Club program, the goal of this course is to teach both owners and dogs effective behaviors for building a lasting relationship through obedience training. Some of the commands covered in this course include: walking nicely on a leash, sit, come, down, and stay. This class culminates with the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test. Successful completion of this course or Dog Obedience I is required to enroll in Obedience II and Agility courses and is seen as a good pre-requisite for those wanting to obtain a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. Exceptional dogs will be able to test for the CGC title after completion of this course.
