Diverse organizations are found to be more creative, more productive, have higher levels of employee engagement, and experience lower rates of attrition. Diversity is also shown to return higher profits. This unit will guide students in an understanding of why diversity, equity, and inclusion are important to organizational success. Students will learn to appreciate and work effectively with diverse groups, confront unconscious biases that hinder workplace inclusion, and identify essential factors that contribute to an inclusive workplace environment. Registration closes the Wednesday prior to the class start date.
