« back to classes page
Just as there are birth doulas who assist during pregnancy and labor, there are death doulas who provide support during the dying process. Join Annie Brownsberger and Mary McCall, two local end-of-life doulas, for this introductory session to learn about their work, doula training and the benefits of having a doula, the challenges and rewards of doing end-of-life care for loved ones or clients, and the advantages of preparation/organization of creating your own legacy. Annie and Mary provide support to local individuals, couples, families, and friends who are addressing end-of-life issues ranging from preparing Advance Care Directives, to thinking through end-of-life arrangements, and to organizing family meetings and respite care.
