Best Practices for Effective Shade Matching (Zoom)

Getting the right shade is critical to success in crown and bridge dentistry. This program emphasizes the importance of attention to detail when communicating shade and characterization information for crown and bridge restorations. By reviewing a systematic protocol, best practices, and common mistakes this program aims to reduce the number of shade remakes and provide more efficient service to your patients. Objectives: 1. Determine the correct shade with ease and accuracy. 2. Describe time-proven methods as well as common pitfalls for recording and communicating shade and characterization to the laboratory. 3. Identify equipment needed for ideal shade communication. 4. Illustrate the material properties of zirconia, lithium disilicate, and PFMs and their applications when restoring over discolored teeth or implant abutments. Instructor: Deborah Curson-Vieira

Participants should be prepared to provide license information when registering. Please note: Late arrivals will be allowed to attend the workshop, but they will NOT be eligible to earn continuing education credit. Class Requirements: High-speed internet, Computer with both a Webcam and Microphone (built-in or external), and the Zoom application.
