Congress established the Safe Drinking Water Act in 1974 to protect us from water contaminants. This legislation mandates the installation and maintenance of an approved backflow prevention assembly at the water service connection whenever a potential hazard is determined to exist due to cross-connections, back siphoning and other hydraulic conditions causing water to flow abnormally. This course is held at a state of Iowa authorized training site and is taught by a University of Southern California trained tester. Textbook required: ISBN: 0963891227.
