ELDT Class B CDL 30 Hour (Hybrid)

This course is for those who desire a commercial driver career and have some knowledge of commercial vehicles or experience driving large vehicles, including commercial vehicles. This approved FMCSA Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) course is for interested students 18 years of age or older. To get a Class B CDL, you will utilize the Kirkwood Community College commercial vehicles to train and test for your license. After completion of the class, you will be able to drive qualifying Class B commercial vehicles such as a dump truck or bus with additional endorsements. Tuition includes ELDT online theory training, 30 hours of in-person behind-the-wheel (BTW) training. Tuition assistance may fund up to 100 percent of your registration cost for this program. After holding a Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) for at least 14 days and completing both the Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) and the hands-on driving portion of the class, students are required to pass the CDL skills and drive test.
