In 1897, the African American 25th Infantry Bicycle Corps rode an incredible 1,900 miles. This class explores the U.S. Army's short-lived infatuation with the two-wheeled replacement for the horse. This largely unknown story showcases the resilience, ingenuity, and dedication of African American soldiers who pedaled their way into American military history.
