This course is designed for individuals preparing to take the Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) seminar and exam. The course covers both Part A (Fundamentals) and Part B (Practical Applications) of the CWI exam. This is a guided study and prep to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to prepare for taking a CWI seminar and exam. You will be required to work independently on online material outside of scheduled class times. This course is open to individuals with varied interests; however, it is ideal for those with a strong understanding of welding who are seeking to become certified welding inspectors. No prior certification is required, please review the requirements needed to be qualified to become a CWI. These requirements are outlined in clause 6 of AWS B5.1:2025.
