The BRC2 - Skills Practice class is a one-day option for you and your friends, coworkers, or riding group members to spend a day doing what you all love to do, riding motorcycles and learning about riding. This course is designed for experienced riders looking to raise the confidence and hone their riding skills, such as controlling at low speeds, risk management, limited space maneuvers, cornering judgement, swerving, and multiple curve maneuvers. and stopping quickly. This course is not for novice riders. A screening exercise will be administered at the beginning of the course, and participants must pass this exercise in order to continue in the class. Completion of this course provides a license waiver for the DOT. Students must provide their own motorcycle, DOT-approved helmet, and appropriate riding gear (full-fingered gloves, long pants, long-sleeved shirt/jacket, over-the-ankle shoes). Students must also show a valid Iowa motorcycle license or instructional permit endorsement on their license and proof of insurance to qualify for this course.
