New to generative AI? This beginner-friendly session will help you understand what AI is (in plain language), how it works, and how to use it confidently in a work setting. You'll participate in a guided live lab using a major tool like Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude, complete with simple custom instructions to support safe and responsible use. Then, you'll practice prompting in real time, learn what makes a prompt effective, and explore examples you can immediately apply. We'll also cover when AI is and isn't appropriate at work, and you'll leave with a starter notebook/project plus reusable prompt examples to keep the momentum going.
