Discover the art of capturing wildlife in its natural habitat! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to photograph birds, deer, and other animals in motion while mastering essential camera settings, tracking techniques, and powerful storytelling through composition. We'll also cover the ethics and rules of wildlife photography so you can shoot responsibly and confidently in the field. Put your skills into action by photographing wildlife at Indian Creek Nature Center and leave ready to create stunning images of the natural world. We will spend the first hour at Kirkwood Community College and then travel to Indian Creek Nature Center. Students provide their own transportation.

Notice

Please read:  You will need to bring a digital SLR or mirrorless camera and a lens with a focal length of at least 100mm. You will need to bring a 75-300mm, or a longer focal length, kit lens. Please remember to fully charge your camera battery before class, and to have plenty of space on your camera's memory card. If you have a tripod or monopod, please bring it, but it is not a requirement for this course..
