This course covers the fundamentals of wastewater disinfection using chlorine, including how to effectively control the chlorination process to achieve proper effluent disinfection. It also emphasizes safe handling practices for chlorine. Participants will learn how to calculate appropriate chlorine dosages, understand the various applications and limitations of chlorine beyond disinfection, maintain accurate operational records, and safely operate and maintain a sulfur dioxide dechlorination system.
