Have you ever wanted to learn how to play the steel drums? Now is your chance! In this course you will study, rehearse, and perform music in a variety of styles and settings including cover band, music theater pit orchestra, jazz combo, steel band, or other small ensemble configuration as determined by enrollment and student interest. Cover band styles may include rock, pop, hip hop, country, folk, or world beat. This course is interconnected with a Kirkwood College credit course. To successfully complete this course, students must pass all required components as this class qualifies as a pathway into a Kirkwood credit program.
