Learn all aspects of vineyard planning, planting, maintenance and harvesting in this hands-on eight-part viticulture program. Each course will offer two evenings of classroom instruction and two evenings of in-the-vineyard practical experience. More than half of your time will be spent working in the vineyard under close instructor guidance. Successfully complete the program and earn your Vineyard Management Certificate. This program is appropriate for current and potential vineyard employees, anyone establishing a vineyard business or for personal enrichment. Courses will be taught opposite of the Wine-making Certificate Series, so you are able to complete both the Vineyard Management Certificate and the Wine-making Certificate in one year. Courses are taught by Lucas McIntire, Kirkwood’s viticulture operations coordinator.
