This 8-hour class covers the National Electrical Code requirements for commercial and industrial wiring, beginning with general requirements and continuing through branch circuit, feeder, and service installation. The class will also cover grounding and bonding, conductor sizing and installation, overcurrent protection, box and conduit sizing, conduit and raceway types and installation rules, cable tray requirements, switches and receptacles, panelboards, industrial control panels, luminaires, appliances, motors, air conditioners, equipment disconnecting means and requirements for transformer installations.  Requirements for optional standby systems, Class 1, 2, and 3 remote control and signaling systems and communications systems will be discussed. This class has been approved by the Iowa Electrical Examining Board for 8 hours of electrical code.
