Knowing how to lead an effective team is key for every leader. This course provides insight and tools to build a better team. Matrixed organizations, cross-functional teams, geographically dispersed teams—it’s all the norm in today’s world. Getting those with different work styles, experiences, knowledge, and work/life balance expectations aligned around a common goal isn’t easy. You will explore best practices, tools, and strategies to effectively lead diverse teams and team members to achieve successful results. By the end of this class, you will learn how to identify the characteristics of high-performing teams; align team members around a common goal or direction; establish team norms and responsibilities to support team success while also considering needs and strengths of the team members; emphasize trust and conflict management as a shared responsibility of each team member; demonstrate leadership strategies to achieve a state of high-performance efficiency throughout a project; and lead and manage remote teams.
