
Volunteers are an important and unique resource that have the ability to enhance an organizations ability to meet its mission and goals. Having a well-trained individual to manage volunteers is the key to a successful volunteer program. The Volunteer Management Certificate is designed to be relevant for those managing an existing program as well as for those in the process of creating a new one. This certificate focuses on the specialized skills needed for managing volunteers. The courses in this program reinforce the core competencies for the CVA (Certified in Volunteer Administration) credential and will provide the classroom support to the candidate’s required material. Each of the six classes in this certificate series are complete in themselves so you may take them individually or sign up for this certificate and save more than 15percent. No prerequisite is required. Classes include: Developing Your Volunteer Program; Recruit, Screen and Place Volunteers; Orientation and Training Volunteers; Volunteer Appreciation; Retention and Recognition; Leadership and Supervision of Volunteers; Evaluating Your Volunteer Program, Individual Volunteer Performance and Volunteer Management Certificate Lab.
