The ERC Skills Practice class is a one day option for you and your friends, coworkers or riding group members to spend a day doing what you all love to do, riding motorcycles and learning about riding. This course is designed for experienced riders looking to hone their riding skills. This course provides the opportunity to progressively improve motorcycling strategies and techniques through a variety of riding exercises that include control at low speeds, risk management, limited space maneuvers, cornering judgement, swerving and stopping quickly and multiple curve maneuvers. This course is not for novice riders. A screening exercise will be administered at the beginning of the course. Participants must pass this exercise in order to continue in the class. This course is for skills practice only. It does not provide a license waiver for the DOT. Students must provide their own motorcycle, DOT approved helmet and appropriate riding gear (gloves, long pants, long-sleeved shirt/jacket, over the ankle shoes). Students must also show a valid Iowa motorcycle license or instructional permit endorsement on their license and proof of insurance to qualify for this course.
