Description: This series of courses introduces the fundamental principles, tools, and techniques of graphic design. Students will explore the essential elements of visual design and engage with concepts that provide a strong foundation in effective communication, problem-solving, and the creative process. Through a mix of lectures, hands-on projects, and critiques, students will develop a basic understanding of design thinking and apply it in practical contexts. An introduction to the fundamentals of graphic design with a balanced emphasis on practical, technical, aesthetic, and conceptual skill sets. The curriculum emphasizes using design fundamentals along with learning the industry standard software. Students learn the technical and conceptual skills involved in typography, image generation, layout, and color theory, to apply final graphic solutions used in modern communication. Series : Elementary Spanish Series

Description: This 16-week beginner level Spanish language series places emphasis on basic listening, speaking, writing, and reading skills in the present tense, the past tense, and the future tense.  This series is ideal for students with no previous Spanish language learning experience, or for those who have previous experience but are not comfortable communicating in Spanish.  Also, this course covers nouns, adjectives, adverbs, direct, and indirect pronouns.  This series is required before students can take higher level Spanish classes, such as Spanish for Travelers and Spanish for Professionals.
